Job summary

Trinity House Group is seeking a Finance Manager to join the group finance function, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The role fits someone moving from management accounting into broader reporting and cross-functional business partnering.

You will own monthly management accounts, contribute to group reporting, budgeting and consolidation, and help integrate acquisitions while scaling the finance function.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or finalist) with a management accounting background.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or acquisitive environment is advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of monthly management accounts across the group.
• Assist with group consolidation and financial reporting with the Group Financial Controller.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for decision making.
• Support integration of acquired businesses into group reporting frameworks.
• Review and improve processes and controls as the finance function scales.
• Business partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight.
• Assist with statutory reporting and year end audit processes.
• Support ad hoc projects linked to acquisition strategy.

We're hiring on behalf of a highly acquisitive, ambitious organisation with a strong track record of growth through both organic expansion and M&A activity. As the group continues to scale, they are investing further in their finance function to support the next phase of growth.

The Role

This is a newly created opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the group finance function, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller. The role would suit a Management Accountant looking to take the next step into a broader position, with genuine exposure to reporting, process improvement and cross functional business partnering.

You will play a key role in the monthly management accounts process, while also contributing to the group's wider financial reporting requirements, an ideal opportunity for someone keen to develop their technical reporting exposure alongside strong management accounting fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts across the group
• Assist with group consolidation and financial reporting processes, working closely with the Group Financial Controller
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing insight to support business decision making
• Support integration of acquired businesses into group finance processes and reporting frameworks
• Review and improve existing processes and controls as the finance function scales
• Business partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and support
• Assist with statutory reporting and year end audit processes
• Support ad hoc projects linked to the group's ongoing acquisition strategy

What We're Looking For

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or finalist), with a background in management accounting
• Experience gained within a fast paced, ideally multi entity or acquisitive environment is advantageous
• Candidates from a professional services background would be well suited, given the exposure to multiple entities, deadlines and client facing rigour this typically brings
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with an appetite to develop group reporting experience
• A proactive, commercially minded individual comfortable working in a growing and evolving function
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with consolidation tools or ERP systems desirable

What's on Offer

• Basic salary £55,000–£65,000
