Job summary

Wiley is seeking a Senior Finance M&A leader to drive transaction analyses, synergy planning, and post‑close integration across a global portfolio. Qualifications

• Proven experience in investment banking, corporate development, FP&A, or a dedicated M&A finance function.
• Experience in financial due diligence on buy-side and/or sell-side transactions, with emphasis on partnering and modeling.
• Experience working with commercial and operational teams to align on synergy targets and integration plans is valued.
• Post-close financial integration experience is a plus.
• Industry background in publishing, technology, information services, data/analytics, or SaaS preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills: DCF, accretion/dilution, synergy builds, working capital and earnings analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial evaluation and execution support of acquisitions & divestitures.
• Develop investment cases, business valuations, and transaction recommendations to support capital allocation decisions.
• Present financial analyses, transaction recommendations, and investment cases to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Own the Finance workstream during due diligence: quality of earnings, working capital, synergy modeling, and integration/separation cost estimation.
• Partner with business and operational leaders to develop and pressure-test revenue assumptions, growth drivers, and synergy targets ensuring financial models reflect proper valuation.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development to bring FP&A proximity to internal data and planning processes.
