Job summary

Sidecar Health is redefining health insurance in the United States. As Vice President of Finance, you will shape the financial strategy and build the operational foundation to scale a mission-driven company.

You will lead FP&A, partner with executive leadership, drive IPO readiness, and guide capital planning while building a high-performing finance team and maintaining rigorous financial controls and GAAP reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership in growth-stage or public company.
• Proven FP&A leadership and financial strategy experience, including IPO or public filing readiness.
• Track record of capital raising through PE/VC or public markets.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance, healthcare metrics, and public company readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-term planning, and financial modeling.
• Partner with CFO, Controller, and Executive Leadership to develop and execute financial strategies for growth and efficiency.
• Drive IPO readiness, including S-1 prep, internal controls, audits, and investor-facing materials.
• Build and scale a high-performing finance team with strong internal controls and cross-functional alignment.
• Provide financial insights to shape business strategy, support decision-making, and optimize capital deployment.
• Develop scalable financial infrastructure, systems, and reporting for a high-growth company.
• Oversee capital allocation, cash flow planning, scenario analysis, and financial risk mitigation.
• Ensure accurate GAAP reporting and external disclosures.
• Support fundraising and investor relations activities, including due diligence and board communications.
• Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in the finance organization.
