Job summary

Sitreps is seeking its first in-house finance leader in Nashville to build and own the accounting function from the ground up. You will close the books, establish SOPs and controls, and move toward a full ERP implementation as the business scales. This is a hands-on, partner-to-the-President role with a clear path to CFO.

You will report to the President, work with the private sponsor, and shape the finance strategy from day one, balancing immediate needs with scalable systems and dashboards.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent depth of hands-on accounting experience and strong GAAP knowledge.
• 8+ years total accounting experience with at least 5 years post-audit.
• Experience building an accounting function from the ground up (systems, SOPs, controls).
• Comfort working in an industrial warehouse environment with operations teams.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville area.

Responsibilities

• Own all accounting functions: AP, AR, payroll, GL, and monthly/quarterly/annual close.
• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements on a reliable calendar.
• Transition books in-house and write accounting SOPs; build internal controls.
• Manage lender reporting and covenant compliance; own the audit relationship.
• Budget, forecast, variance analysis; partner with operations to drive margins.
