Job summary

LHH is partnered with a small, privately held software company on a newly created Controller search in Nashville. The role will bring the accounting function in-house as the company grows.

You will own month-end close, strengthen internal controls, oversee revenue recognition (ASC 606) for SaaS, coordinate with outside advisors, and help build a future accounting team. This is a high-visibility position in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience required.
• Experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition for recurring models.
• Strong communication skills in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Build and enhance internal controls.
• Manage deferred revenue and revenue recognition.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting.
• Coordinate tax matters with outside accounting firm.
• Support investor relations activities related to accounting and finance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
