Job summary

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley seeks an Experienced Assistant Director of Finance to oversee the hotel’s general ledger operations and support the Director of Finance. You will manage the Finance department in line with Hyatt standards while meeting guest and owner expectations.

You will lead month-end close, forecast preparation, cash flow statements, and reconciliations; supervise Finance staff and ensure accurate reporting across hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Hospitality or Accounting is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in progressive Accounting/Finance roles, hotel experience preferred.
• Experience supervising Accounting/Finance staff.
• Proficiency with MICROS, ADP/Enterprise, and Opera PMS software.
• Strong Excel and Word skills; reports and presentations required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hotel's general ledger operations and align with Director of Finance.
• Lead month-end close processes and variance explanations.
• Prepare forecasts, cash flow statements, and ownership reports.
• Review journal vouchers and month-end reconciliations with Controller.
• Support SOX compliance and year-end audit activities.
• Coach and develop Finance staff and oversee IT-related hotel controls.
