Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior program finance professional to lead and mentor on a cost-plus program with Earned Value Management responsibilities in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on financial analysis, EVM compliance, EAC development, and forecasting to support decision making for a mission-critical program.

The candidate will interact with internal and external stakeholders, manage DoD contract deliverables, and drive FP&A activities including LRP and AOP. A U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Department of Defense experience.
  • Experience managing multiple DoD contracts with external deliverables (IPMDAR/IPMAR, CSDR, CFSR).
  • Experience and understanding of the Program Business role, including Earned Value Management (EVM), Estimates at Complete (EACs), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience interfacing with various functional disciplines.
  • Able to present briefings to customers, management and peers.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and analysis of program financial data, including EVM requirements.
  • Develop and present quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs) and support forecasting.
  • Mentor peers and act as a business partner to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial planning aspects (LRP, AOP, working capital, monthly reporting).

What You Will Do
  • You will have broad responsibility for development cost-plus contractual Earned Value Management (EVM) program controls.
  • Lead, coordinate, and mentor peers on the development and analysis of all program financial data, including contractual EVM requirements, development and presentation of quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs), and support of financial forecasting for the program.
  • Serve as a critical business partner to internal and external stakeholders by providing financial analysis, insight, and guidance to decision making.
  • Support development and integration of financial planning aspects (LRP, AOP, working capital, monthly financial performance reporting).
  • Provide financial analysis for growth opportunities as well as be a key contributor for the proposal / Gate 4 process.
Qualifications – You Must Have
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business related field or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Department of Defense experience.
  • Experience managing multiple DoD contracts with external deliverables (IPMDAR/IPMAR, CSDR, CFSR).
  • Experience and understanding of the Program Business role, including Earned Value Management (EVM), Estimates at Complete (EACs), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines.
  • Experienced in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications – We Prefer
  • Demonstrated experience in a matrix environment.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools, including APEX, BW, Rplan, PMX, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, AOP, LRP, and R&O management.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, including demonstrated ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and numerous stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and professional skills when interfacing with all levels.
  • Experience drive change and influence beyond authority level.
  • Active Secret DoD clearance.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
