Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Finance Lead to provide financial leadership for the Dermatology business’ FP&A in the US. This role reports to the Associate Director, Immunology Finance and oversees Actuals, Plan, LBEs, LRP and ad hoc analyses to support day-to-day operations and strategic planning.

Responsibilities include tracking budgets, leading planning processes, performing monthly close with headcount variance, and partnering with brand leads to deliver actionable financial insights for management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA or MBA a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track US Dermatology budgets and analyze monthly results against Plan/LBEs.
• Lead planning processes (Plan/LBE/LRP) with clear management deliverables.
• Perform monthly close activities, including headcount reporting and variance analysis.
• Partner with Business Unit VP and brand leads to deliver meaningful financials.
• Lead financial reviews and approvals (POs and invoices).
• Lead ad hoc analysis and process improvements as needed.

Job Description

The Finance Lead reports to the Associate Director, Immunology Finance and provides financial leadership and business support for the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements of the Dermatology business. This role ensures compliance with financial policies and oversees FP&A activities related to Actuals, Plan, Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), Long Range Plans (LRP), and ad hoc analysis as needed to support day-to-day operations and the strategic plan.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for tracking promotional, marketing and sales force budgets for the US Dermatology franchise. Analyze monthly actual results, comparing them against benchmarks (Plan/LBEs) to identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead all aspects of the planning processes (Plan/LBE/LRP) by ensuring deliverables are accurate, clear and concise for management review and approval
• Perform monthly close activities, including headcount reporting and variance analysis. Prepare monthly management packages with key stories and issues highlighted.
• Partner with Business Unit Vice President and the brand leads to understand business needs and deliver accurate, meaningful financials that provide business insights
• Leads financial reviews and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices)
• Lead and support ad hoc analysis, key projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • CPA or MBA a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.
