Job summary

VERNE is seeking an experienced Finance Lead / Head of Finance for its French entity. You will own financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, treasury, internal controls and business partnering, reporting to the Group Financial Controller and collaborating with auditors and regulators.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical accounting, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced international environment, serving as the primary finance liaison for France.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified accountant.
• Significant experience in a Finance Controller, Head of Finance or senior financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and French statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience managing statutory audits and regulatory compliance obligations.
• Fluent in both French and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for the French entity.
• Prepare management accounts and reporting packages in line with IFRS and Group policies.
• Oversee statutory financial statements under French GAAP and liaise with auditors.
• Coordinate tax, regulatory filings and intercompany reporting.
• Partner with Group Finance and local operations to enable business decisions.
