Diamondback Energy, Inc. through its subsidiary Viper Energy, Inc. is seeking a Finance and Investor Relations Intern in Midland, TX for a ~12-week summer program (May–August 2027).

The intern will own a summer project, work alongside senior leaders, and gain practical experience in financial analysis, investor relations, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions, with deliverables presented to executives and the Board.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing to work in Midland, TX for the duration of the internship; returning to school Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned Finance and Investor Relations project, delivering end-to-end work.
• Develop knowledge of minerals/royalties and the oil and gas sector.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly deliverables for senior executives and the Board.
• Support investor relations materials, including presentations and press releases.
• Assist with evaluating and modeling merger and acquisition opportunities.
• Gather market data, perform peer benchmarking, and track debt/equity markets.
• Participate in on-site field visits and intern events in Midland.
