Job summary

Stryker Group is seeking Finance or Accounting interns in Portage, MI to contribute to financial planning, analysis, and reporting while gaining hands-on exposure to leaders and a culture of innovation. You will work on preparing financial statements, improving processes, and building reporting templates using ERP and MS Office tools, while collaborating across finance teams on budgets and variances.

Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, with a 3.0+ GPA, and authorized to work in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled.
• GPA 3.0 or above (verified at time of hire).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze accounting statements and reports to assist in preparing financial statements.
• Support teams in developing and improving finance and accounting processes.
• Build ad-hoc templates and leverage ERP systems and Excel to automate and optimize reporting.
• Coordinate with departments on projections and budgets, and communicate variances against financial targets.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and participate in monthly close processes and reporting.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
• Collaborate with other Finance interns nationwide on a case study project.
