Job summary

AbbVie’s Internal Audit (IA) function protects and enhances the organization’s value by providing risk-based assurance and insights. The Finance Audit Associate Director will plan, execute and report on global audits and drive department improvements.

Reporting to the Finance Audit Director, you will manage audit teams, develop talent strategies, and influence senior management while maintaining independence and professionalism across multiple functions worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• CIA, CPA and/or CFE certifications preferred.
• Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audits across global operations.
• Lead multiple audits focusing on internal controls, efficiency, and compliance.
• Provide management with recommendations to strengthen controls and processes.
• Coach audit staff and manage teams.
• Partner with business functions to address risk and control issues.
• Support leadership with quarterly presentations.
