Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Student Intern - HHSIAN to assist with financial analysis and corporate finance tasks. You will perform financial modeling, support profitability assessments, and help prepare executive-level reporting and budgets.

This internship offers exposure to asset management concepts and cross-organizational collaboration. Ideal candidates will be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, familiar with Word/Outlook, and eager to learn through hands-on projects and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred.
• Experience with pivot tables and data analysis is a plus.
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Interest in corporate finance and a desire to learn more about asset management.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial modeling and analysis, including assets, flows, revenue, and expense trends.
• Support profitability analysis, including new and enhanced client-level profitability assessments.
• Gather information across the organization to support executive-level reporting and presentations.
• Support the quarterly budget reporting and annual planning processes for the firm.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain competitor and industry intelligence.
• Assist with accounting-related tasks as needed.
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
