Job summary

First Student, Inc. is seeking a financially minded student in the process of earning a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting to support the general ledger and financial reporting under direct supervision.

You will assist in journal entries, reconciliations, and analytics, participate in process improvement projects, and help ensure data integrity for management reporting and budgeting efforts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS Codification.
• Experience with MS Office and accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and adjusts journal entries.
• Performs reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Participates in efficiency and automation projects for accounting processes.
• Performs analytics to ensure information quality for reporting.
• Assists in presenting finances to management and budgeting assumptions.
• Maintains fixed assets records including additions/disposals.
