Job summary

Battelle is seeking Finance Interns for Summer 2027 in Columbus, Ohio. This hybrid role (60% in-office; 40% remote) offers exposure to Financial Planning and Analysis, Pricing, Project Controls, or Treasury & Risk Management within Battelle’s finance organization.

Responsibilities include collaborating with finance teams, performing tasks for a not-for-profit government contract research company, and communicating results effectively.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Operations Management.
• Junior standing or higher required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate good organization, communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week.
• U.S. Person per export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Support Battelle’s corporate finance initiatives and objectives with finance teams.
• Perform financial tasks that support Battelle’s not-for-profit, government contract research structure.
• Gain hands-on experience in a specific department within Battelle’s finance group.
• Collaborate with other Battelle interns on departmental projects and assignments.
• Communicate results and progress to the project team in written and oral forms.
