Job summary

Battelle is seeking Corporate Accounting Interns for Summer Semester 2027 in Columbus, OH. The role is hybrid (60% on-site, 40% remote) and supports general ledger reconciliations, close activities, and financial analyses alongside diverse teams across Finance and Treasury.

The position requires pursuing a bachelor’s in accounting, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and in teams. Eligible students gain hands-on experience and a pathway to permanent employment upon

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting with junior standing or higher.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and handle technical accounting tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and analyze outstanding items.
• Assist with the financial close process and journal entries.
• Support monthly variance analysis for assigned entities.
• Review Accounts Receivable and communicate findings clearly.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and Battelle guidelines.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Research technical accounting issues as needed.
• Adhere to applicable laws and standard accounting practices.
