Job summary

Akamai is looking for a Finance Intern to join our Cambridge, MA team for a 12-week summer program. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid format from our Cambridge HQ, supporting FP&A activities and gaining exposure to the Associate Finance Development Program (AFDP).

You'll collaborate with mentors and leadership, developing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills while contributing to business analyses and presentations for senior finance management.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's program in business or related field, graduating between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Prior internship experience in financial analysis or related area.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter, comfortable in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
• Available to work in hybrid format from Cambridge HQ.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting and in-depth customer or product analysis
• Developing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource planning analysis
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and gaining support to implement necessary improvements with the team
• Generating business presentations for senior Finance management, including a final showcase presentation
• Performing industry analyses to develop operational best practices and updating internal documentation
