Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami is offering a 2027 Finance Internship designed for students pursuing accounting or finance. You will assist the property finance team with daily accounting functions, help prepare monthly statements, and gain exposure to forecasting and budgeting.

This 10-week on-site program (June to August) requires junior status, a relevant degree track, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. You'll shadow finance leaders, participate in audits, and support month-end close

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (in progress) or similar degree.
• Junior status required for the internship program.
• Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables/reports) and PowerPoint skills.
• Organized and able to work accurately in a time-efficient manner.
• Available for a 10-week program (June–August).
• Onsite work is required for this internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property finance team with daily accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable.
• Support monthly financial statements and related reporting.
• Gain exposure to forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and internal controls.
• Shadow finance leaders and attend development sessions as part of the internship.
• Participate in month-end close processes and prepare journal entries.
