Job summary

Ameriprise Financial invites highly motivated undergrads to join its Corporate Finance internship program in Minneapolis. You'll gain exposure to tax, controllership, procurement, risk services, risk management, and finance through hands-on projects and real-world analysis.

As an intern, you’ll work on schedules, learn general ledger and budgeting processes, build analytics, and contribute to decision support for partners. In-office collaboration is expected four days weekly with one day remote.

Qualifications

• Current junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Visa sponsorship not required for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Complete federal and state tax returns for various legal entities.
• Gain knowledge about the general ledger, tax accounting, internal controls and how we report data.
• Learn the steps to reach the bottom line and the relationships between separate line items.
• Build decision support-based analytics for business partners.
• Build cost benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Provide the financial metrics for project management.
