Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Payments Platform, focusing on Finance Infrastructure. You’ll partner with Engineering, Finance and Payments to translate complex regulatory and financial needs into scalable backend capabilities.

You’ll drive roadmap, prioritise across stakeholders and help the bank expand across markets and currencies. You’ll work with senior teams to balance long-term health with urgent delivery, while supporting a high bar for technical excellence and

Qualifications

• Strong product manager with experience owning complex technical, platform, infrastructure or financial systems.
• Ability to partner credibly with engineers and understand systems, trade-offs and dependencies.
• Comfort with 'boring but critical' backend infrastructure and data controls.

Responsibilities

• Own roadmap for Finance Infrastructure within Payments Platform and execute on it.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance and Payments leaders to define needs as we scale.
• Translate finance, accounting and regulatory requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
• Prioritise across stakeholders, balancing urgent delivery with long-term health.
• Help Monzo build infrastructure supporting multiple products, entities, and currencies.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, Product and Ops.
