Job summary

Dockwa is reshaping the marine industry. The Accounting role leads the standardized books setup across multi-location operations, starting with QuickBooks Online, Sage, and NetSuite, and oversees revenue recognition for prepaid and seasonal contracts, deposits, tips, and payouts.

You will own migrations, cutovers, and ensure accurate ledger reconciliation. You will define how Dockwa posts transactions, train teams, and collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on a Financial Setup offering.

Qualifications

• Five or more years running or implementing the books for a multi-location operating business.
• Closed the month for a business with deposits, prepaid contracts and card processing.
• Deep, hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise, plus working knowledge of Sage or NetSuite.
• Direct experience with payment processor reconciliation, ideally Stripe.
• Implemented, or been implemented onto, a vertical software platform with an accounting sync.
• You write clearly. Much of your output is documentation, templates and plain-language explanations for non-accountants.

Responsibilities

• Define the Dockwa accounting standards and chart of accounts templates for ledgers.
• Manage complex migrations and multi-location cutovers.
• Resolve accounting or integration questions with engineering when needed.
• Define the boundary between configuration and advice, and train the team.
• Define, price and deliver a Financial Setup package with Sales and Customer Success.
• Build training and certification for support and onboarding teams.
• Provide quarterly feedback to Product with ranked defaults and safeguards.
