Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks a Business Operations Specialist to manage financial operations for two departments within the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing. You will support budgeting, reporting, and compliance, coordinating with PI and post-award teams to ensure grant expenditures stay within policy and budget.

Responsibilities include hiring documentation, Ed Foundation accounting tasks, and cross-department collaboration to improve processes and financial workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience with USC financial and administrative systems (PeopleSoft, Banner, Reporting Express).
• Strong budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between PIs and Post-Awards to ensure grant expenses comply with guidelines.
• Process approved expenses after post-award validation and approvals.
• Monitor department expenses, payroll, procurement, and travel for financial integrity.
