  • Maintain BBF’s official grant files and centralized tracking systems for federal audits readiness; including applications, awards, agreements, budgets, amendments, reporting requirements, correspondence, approvals, and closeout documentation.
  • Review grant terms and requirements, and coordinate with program staff to establish responsibilities, timelines, and processes for implementation and compliance.
  • Manage grant financial administration and compliance, including reporting, drawdowns, budget revisions, cost allocations, deadlines, restricted balances, and closeout requirements.
  • Support development of budgets and financial materials for new grant proposals and funding opportunities in partnership with program and development staff.
  • Coordinate preparation of financial records and supporting documentation for BBF’s annual financial statement audit and Single Audit.
  • Support preparation of Form 990-PF and other required tax, financial, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain year-round audit readiness and respond to requests from auditors, tax professionals, funders, and other external partners.
  • Serve as a key operational partner in the implementation and ongoing use of BBF’s accounting and financial systems, including integrations with grants, scholarships, and other organizational systems.
  • Develop and improve financial workflows and controls to strengthen the efficiency, accuracy, and usefulness of BBF’s financial processes and information.
  • Maintain clear responsibilities and workflows within the Finance team and support cross-training for critical financial functions.
  • Foster collaborative and solutions-oriented relationships with staff while maintaining appropriate financial controls and compliance.
