Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a dedicated financial operations leader located in Jefferson City to oversee Accounting, Grants, Tuition Assistance, and Budget staff. You will supervise a team of six, drive budgeting processes, and prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external audiences.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of fiscal/administrative experience and proficiency in SAM II Financial, MissouriBUYS, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required with 5–7 years of fiscal/administrative experience.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with SAM II Financial and MissouriBUYS.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for Accounting, Grants, Tuition Assistance, and Budget staff.
• Supervise 6 employees, including training and meetings.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, and expenditure analyses.
• Ensure funding is expended according to applicable laws.
