Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in planning, Economics, Public Finance, Business or related field is preferred/required.
• Interest and potential experience in the development of annual budgets, capital improvement planning, or financial analysis for transportation agencies, ports, railroads, utilities, MPOs and/or governments.

Responsibilities

• Assist development of financial plans and models.
• Assist in identifying projects competitive for discretionary grant funding from state and federal programs.
• Research and evaluate potential funding sources and financing strategies for transportation and water infrastructure projects.
• Support analysis of financial, economic, and statistical data for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct research analyses and data collection from available sources of financial/economic data.
• Support development of solutions addressing economic, financial, and policy issues affecting infrastructure.
• Coordinate with diverse project teams for data collection, project development, and technical analysis.
• Research and write reports and technical documents.
• Perform other duties as needed.
