Job summary

MaineHousing seeks a Director of Finance to lead accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and loan servicing accounting. You will ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence while guiding executive leadership and the Board of Commissioners.

You will supervise staff, oversee annual budgets, manage relationships with banks and auditors, and direct all loan servicing-related accounting for single-family and multifamily portfolios. CPA preferred and leadership experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Ten years of leadership experience with four years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, and GL functions ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Lead annual operating and program budgeting in collaboration with exec leadership.
• Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements and present monthly results to exec leadership and Board.
• Ensure timely monthly close and reporting for executives, Board, and program directors.
• Manage relationships with banks, loan servicers, external auditors, and other vendors.
• Oversee loan servicing accounting for single and multifamily portfolios.
