Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations, lead staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and private grants. The role reports to the CFO and collaborates with program leadership to sustain long-term financial health.

The position includes budgeting, payroll, asset management, and financial systems integration, with direct supervision of the finance team at the San Antonio location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in Accounting/Finance with nonprofit/grant experience; 3+ years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct, GAAP, and grant/contracts management.
• Experience with payroll accounting and labor distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all administrative and financial operations; supervise finance staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, private grants, and contracts.
• Lead budgeting, auditing, reporting, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate bank, cash management, and investment activities.
• Manage chart of accounts, GL, and financial data integrations.
