Job summary

CFS in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a Director of Finance to drive strategy, oversee finance function, and partner with the Board. This high-visibility role offers executive exposure, meaningful impact, and a strong work/life balance in a long-established professional services organization.

The role leads budgeting, forecasting, month-end/year-end close, and process improvements, with direct accountability to senior leadership and ownership groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience creating and managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prior experience presenting recommendations to executive leadership, ownership groups, or Boards.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting & Finance function, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Drive strategic initiatives and oversee implementation of major business systems and process improvements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Evaluate and improve financial, accounting, billing, and accounts receivable processes.
• Develop, mentor, and lead the finance team.
• Provide financial recommendations and insights to leadership and the Board.
