Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA Shipbuilding in Arlington, VA seeks a Director, Finance to lead FP&A and strategic financial planning for the Shipbuilding portfolio. You will interface with the corporate and Korean parent for consolidation, tax, and reporting, and drive government contract finance compliance across pricing, indirect rates, and audits.

The role requires deep experience in government contracting finance, multi-entity consolidation, and treasury management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
Ten+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
Substantive government contracting finance experience with DoD guidelines.
Experience structuring and negotiating financial terms of contracts or major agreements.
Experience establishing finance processes, controls, and staffing in growth or post-acquisition environments.

Responsibilities

Direct the annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan for Shipbuilding and subsidiaries.
Develop and maintain portfolio financial model including revenue recognition and program margin.
Establish estimate at completion discipline with program management and control accounts.
Deliver monthly/quarterly management reporting with variance analysis and KPIs.
Lead capital planning and business case development for shipyard infrastructure investments.
Serve as finance partner for resource allocation and make-vs-buy decisions.
