Job summary

North.Cloud is building the next-generation cloud spend management platform. We give companies real-time visibility, control, and automation over their cloud finances, so they can grow efficiently, without wasting time or money.

This is a hands-on Director role reporting to the CEO, with a clear path to shape finance as the function of the company. You will own pricing, unit economics, and the close, while partnering with the CEO on board materials, investor reporting, and strategic forecasting.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of finance experience, as first or early finance hire at a VC-backed startup, ideally SaaS.
• Strong command of SaaS metrics and unit economics; explain margins and pricing clearly.
• Experience building a finance function from scratch: close process, operating model, board reporting, and underlying systems.
• Familiarity with the economics of the public cloud.
• Hands-on operator; comfortable being the whole finance team, building the model and chasing down invoices.

Responsibilities

• Own pricing and unit economics and translate into strategic guidance for the business.
• Build the systems, controls, and close to establish a clean monthly close and proper revenue recognition.
• Be the strategic partner with the CEO and Chief of Staff on board materials, investor reporting, budget, and headcount planning.
• Run finance day-to-day, including cash management, AP/AR oversight, payroll coordination.
• Set the foundation for scale with processes and reporting for a company doubling in size.
