Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a finance professional to plan, monitor, and coordinate budget and accounting activities across the system. This role focuses on accounts payable, cost reporting, asset control, and capital budgeting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Strong Excel and reporting skills are essential.

You will lead staff, produce financial reports, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support high-quality public health services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with emphasis on accounting and financial systems
• Two years of responsible-level fiscal management experience; or Bachelor’s with three years’ experience and supervisory role
• Experience with budgeting and financial analysis in large government or corporate setting

Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, monitor, direct and coordinate finance programs including accounts payable, payroll, and cost reporting
• Coordinate staff efforts to ensure timely and accurate financial documents and reports
• Develop and maintain systems of reports for financial management and supervision of financial data
• Provide supervision and guidance to staff and ensure compliance with laws and external regulations
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations and improvements
