Job summary

YWCA Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the organization’s finance and accounting operations under the CFO. You will manage financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, grant accounting and budgeting while strengthening internal controls and supporting leadership, programs, funders and the Board.

The role requires building a high-performing finance function, ensuring compliance with government and grantor requirements, and guiding staff development and process

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience, including nonprofit/government-funded accounting.
• Significant supervisory experience (3+ years) and month-end close, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Acumatica is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations under CFO guidance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, month-end close and general ledger oversight.
• Oversee payroll, grants accounting, budgeting, audits and internal controls.
• Coordinate with HR and department heads on budgets and financial analysis.
• Prepare annual external audit and support reporting to Board and funders.
