Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee financial management, budgeting, and internal controls for Caney Pines Convention Center. The role supervises the Finance Department and partners with the General Manager on client relationships and corporate finance initiatives.

Required background includes a B.S. in Accounting/Finance, 5–7 years in public accounting or financial management, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university; MBA a plus, CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience at the director level or as department head is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting.
• Experience with ADP payroll and Sage accounting preferred.
• Industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and payroll operations in compliance with laws and policies.
• Monitors compliance with the management contract provisions.
• Maintains Risk Management contact for coverage coordination.
• Reviews all contracts for clients, events, subcontractors, F&B, or concessions.
• Reviews and prepares event settlements and financial reports.
