Job summary

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is seeking a new Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with standards. The role plans, organizes, directs and controls the financial function, reports results, and supports hotel management.

The position involves leading the finance team, managing budgeting, reporting, SOX compliance, and partnering with management on strategic initiatives for cost control and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance career progression in hospitality or related industry.
• 2+ years in Director-level leadership within hospitality or complex environments.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements; investigate variance explanations with department managers and identify improvements.
• Manage hotel on- and off-site accounting functions including budgeting, month-end close, cash management and financial analysis.
• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with objectives.
• Coordinate with external auditors, respond to requests, approve adjustments and reconcile audited reports.
