Job summary

Raleigh Orthopaedic seeks an experienced Director of Finance to provide financial leadership and oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance across the organization. The role partners with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and long-term stability and growth, driving profitability and liquidity while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Key duties include GAAP/SEC compliance, FP&A leadership, preparing reports, and guiding a growing finance team

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required; graduate degree preferred.
• Accounting/financial licenses or certifications required.
• Proficiency with FP&A software and advanced spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Manage direct reports and lead a growing finance team
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
• Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, taxes, compliance, and year-end close
• Develop strategies to increase profitability, return on investment, and financial stability
• Collaborate with executives and directors to develop budgets and track key performance indicators
• Analyze financial trends and risks related to investment and spending decisions
• Prepare financial information for the CPA, including year-end financials and Form 5500 reporting
• Assist the CEO with special projects and communicate the organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth
• Prepare annual AAOE and OrthoForum benchmarking surveys
