Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the financial operations for our Fort Worth area residential homebuilding division. This senior role partners with construction, purchasing, and executive leadership to drive financial strategy and performance.

The position focuses on construction accounting, job costing, forecasting, cash-flow management, internal controls, and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Significant experience in residential homebuilding, construction or real estate development.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, work-in-progress accounting, GAAP, and project profitability.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash-flow management.
• Experience overseeing monthly close, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Proven success managing and developing accounting or finance professionals.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, construction accounting, purchasing, and financial-reporting systems.
