Job summary

Ardena is seeking an Associate Director, Finance to join the Somerset, NJ site. You will provide accounting leadership for client-focused CDMO activities, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage financial reporting, planning, and controls across the organization.

You will partner with Operations, Program Management, Commercial, and Supply Chain to drive budgeting, forecasting, capital decisions, and project economics, while developing the finance team in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 9 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation and analysis, and management reporting.
• Experience in a CDMO, CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, GMP manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with project accounting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance preferred.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential preferred.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and cash flows.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
• Coordinate audit support and address audit requests.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, treasury, and working capital.
• Own or support site and functional P&L analysis and budgeting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on pricing models and contract economics.
• Monitor project profitability and financial risk across client programs.
