Job summary

Ardena in Somerset, NJ, is seeking an Associate Director, Finance to lead financial reporting, planning, and cost management within a GMP-regulated CDMO environment. You will partner with site leaders and cross-functional teams to drive profitability, controls, and reliable client delivery.

The role requires 9+ years in finance, a Finance/Accounting degree, and strong P&L, budgeting, and revenue recognition experience; CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field required.
• Minimum of 9 years of progressive accounting and finance experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation and analysis, and management reporting required.
• Experience in a CDMO, CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, GMP manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with project accounting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance preferred.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential preferred.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and management reporting.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows).
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate audit support and resolve accounting issues.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, treasury, and working capital activities.
• Own or support site and functional P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with Operations, Program Management, Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functions to improve financial performance.
• Support capital expenditures, ROI analyses, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Develop dashboards and financial models; improve processes.
