Job summary

Spotify seeks a Data Scientist to support Finance Data & Insights, aiding Legal and Finance with analytics and ad-hoc reporting. You will build self-service capabilities and automation using AI tooling, while guiding Legal and Finance partners.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop data pipelines, validate datasets, and deliver actionable insights in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is based in New York with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, including financial or legal data.
• Strong SQL knowledge and data analysis skills.
• Experience validating datasets and outputs from other teams.
• Ability to translate workflows into feature requirements.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand Spotify’s data ecosystem to support legal data requests.
• Develop and maintain systems and processes for Legal and Finance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements and outputs for complex matters.
• Work with large datasets to solve complex problems.
• Improve efficiency through automation and data pipelines for self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive Spotify’s success.
