Job summary

JP Morgan Chase seeks a Data Science Associate to support data risk management across the data life cycle within the Data Owner team. You will help identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks in line with firm policies and standards.

You will collaborate with technology and Product Owner teams to ensure data sourcing, quality, and AI readiness, while documenting data models and coordinating with the Firmwide CDO to evolve risk processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field.
• Experience in data management, governance, risk analytics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with technology and business teams.
• Knowledge of basic SQL or other data querying languages.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• Experience with AI tooling, such as training chat assistants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in capturing and documenting metadata and classifiers for critical data and ensure machine readability.
• Collaborate with technology and Product Owner teams to meet data sourcing and quality requirements.
• Partner with technology teams to document data sources, formats, and data flows for validation.
• Maintain documentation of data models, structures, and processes.
• Coordinate with Firmwide CDO to align evolving risk processes and standards.
• Engage in professional development to support data strategy initiatives.
