Job summary

Uber's Finance Data Platform team seeks an App Developer / Data Analyst II to own financial metrics, build scalable reporting, and deliver insights influencing capital allocation. You will translate complex data into clear stories for Finance, Operations and Product leaders, and help design GenAI-powered self-serve tools for internal stakeholders.

You will partner with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Product, Operations and Data Science to measure revenue, costs and profitability, and ensure metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/business field.
• Strong SQL skills with large-scale data warehouses and complex joins/transformations.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis, automation and data quality checks.
• Experience building dashboards/reports in modern BI tools for finance or business stakeholders.
• Ability to define and operationalize metrics and design end-to-end analyses.
• Strong communication and data storytelling to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Product, Operations, and Data Science to understand revenue, costs, margins and profitability.
• Own and refine core metric definitions and ensure consistency across dashboards and data products.
• Design, build and maintain data models, views, and dashboards with a single source of truth.
• Develop GenAI-powered self-serve analytics tools for fast insights.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, drivers, and anomalies.
• Provide data-driven insights on ROI and investments for strategic planning.
• Define and track KPIs for new products and initiatives.
• Improve metric quality by collaborating on data pipelines and reconciliations.
• Communicate analyses and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership.
