Job summary

Super.com is seeking a Finance Automation Lead within Data Engineering to own the financial data behind the general ledger, sales tax filing, and month-end close. You will lead a team of five data and analytics engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and drive end-to-end, data-driven projects in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with accounting and engineering, implement robust data models, and ensure high-quality delivery, with strong emphasis on stakeholder

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a data or analytics engineer and at least 2 year experience as a people leader.
• 5+ years building production data pipelines and warehouse models, with strong SQL and working dbt proficiency.
• Experience owning financial data that Accounting depends on: GL feeds, month-end close, reconciliation, audit support, payment processing.
• Evidence of designing and implementing logical, well-architected solutions for complex, large-scale data engineering challenges.
• Deep experience in database design & warehouse data modeling, scheduling & orchestration.
• A track record of turning ambiguous stakeholder requests into scoped, estimated plans, and pushing back when capacity is short.
• Clear communication with both accountants and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a full-stack team of 5+ data engineers or analytics engineers, staffing and hiring.
• Lead high-impact, data-driven projects end-to-end in a startup environment.
• Shape the technical roadmap and drive agile processes for the team.
• Mentor team members and ensure opportunities for growth.
• Drive release quality with code reviews and end-to-end tests.
• Contribute technically by writing design docs and taking on complex components when needed.
