OCERS is seeking a Finance Staff Analyst to join the Finance team, handling investment accounting, financial reporting, retiree payroll, and audits. The role emphasizes data integrity, technology use, and internal controls in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, 3+ years of experience, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement within a fiduciary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum three years of government/public accounting experience.
• CPA highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, and summarize complex financial data for various accounts.
• Participate in annual external audit and interact with auditors and managers.
• Assist in preparation of investment disclosures for ACFR.
• Oversee retiree payroll processes and variance analysis.
• Support monthly/year-end payroll and internal controls improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation.
