Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Data Analyst for the Finance Data Analytics team in Suffolk, VA. You will maintain, improve, and build reporting capabilities across the business, delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reports and performing ad hoc analyses to provide actionable insights.

In this role you will partner with multiple functions to implement process improvements, develop dashboards in Power BI and other tools, and build automated data processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to build models using advanced features of Excel.
• Experience with Power BI / Tableau and SAP Analysis for Office.
• Experience with relational databases like MS Access, MS SQL Server, MySQL.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx; programming in Python, R, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Function as analytics and reporting expert for assigned functions by executing standard reports and ad hoc queries.
• Develop reports, metrics, models, scorecards, and dashboards to drive business decisions.
• Publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on time.
• Build reports/dashboards in Power BI, Analysis for Office, Bex, and other tools.
• Create automated processes using scripting tools (Power Automate, Alteryx, SQL, Python).
• Prepare SOPs and documentation for processes.
• Provide comprehensive analytical and fact-based reporting to support business initiatives.
