Job summary

Databricks in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Manager, Finance Data and AI to lead the design, development, and delivery of data pipelines, AI use cases, and internal applications that power the Finance organization.

You will bridge finance operations with modern data engineering, define the evolution of the Finance DataLake, and drive governance with SOX-aligned practices while mentoring a team of finance data engineers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, finance systems, or analytics engineering with leadership experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; Spark/Databricks experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience building ELT/ETL pipelines for financial systems.
• Understanding of close processes, revenue recognition, intercompany, and financial reporting.
• Ability to translate Finance requirements into scalable technical deliverables.
• Experience collaborating with both tech and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with BI/data visualization tools and self-service dashboards.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applying them to Finance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate jobs using Databricks Jobs and Lakeflow pipelines with data validation.
• Identify and deliver AI use cases for Finance, including forecasting automation and anomaly detection.
• Build and maintain internal Finance apps and dashboards for self-service analytics.
• Publish curated finance datasets with row-level security and governance.
• Lead and grow a team of finance data engineers; enforce CI/CD and SOX controls.
• Collaborate with IT, Accounting, FP&A, and Internal Audit to meet business needs.
