Job description

The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with budgeting and reporting tasks. This role is vital for ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Demonstrates working experience of AP, AR, and GL principles and business application
  • HCSIS and Setworks experience needed
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operations
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency and the timely completion of duties
  • Ability to follow directions/procedures that are required
  • Demonstrates problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Current PA driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pass pre-employment physical and PA State Police Background Check
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Broad knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, invoices, and reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Perform all AR/AP functions
  • Responsible for automating accounting systems
  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor company expenditures and report any discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding billing and payments.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Maintain filing systems for financial information, records, and documents.
  • Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the finance team with administrative and clerical tasks as required.
  • Attend professional development/team building training in person
  • Complete annual required online training on Relias training platform
  • Works as a team player with colleagues to promote positive and engaging work environment
  • Have bi-weekly meetings with supervisor for performance review/goal setting implementation/coaching
  • Advocate for the rights of individuals with IDD in various settings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Supports the mission and vision of Lighthouse Vocational Services
  • Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and navigate different terrains.
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, especially during events or meetings
  • Good vision and hearing to effectively communicate and observe surroundings, and to
  • Good motor skills for tasks like writing, using technology, and handling materials
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch, and reach
