Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI) invites a Financial Controls Intern for a 10-week summer program in Indianapolis with a hybrid schedule. The intern will contribute to accurate financial reporting and internal controls by supporting day-to-day accounting operations and the close process.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate enrollment, major in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year of undergraduate studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams; highly detail-oriented and well organized; proactive problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Financial Controls team to maintain financial health.
• Reconcile daily accounts to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Post daily journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
• Assist with daily general ledger close and timely financial reporting.
• Support ongoing and ad hoc projects related to accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
