Job summary

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is seeking well‑rounded and motivated individuals to join our team. The student filling this position will handle a wide range of important duties and gain real‑world business experience while collaborating with a team.

Interns work a minimum of 20 hours per week during Spring/Fall semesters and full‑time (40 hours per week) during the summer, with evaluation every three months.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical/statistical/machine learning background.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to take instructions and work independently, as well as in a team setting.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with model validations and performance monitoring for asset-liability management, derivative pricing, mortgage prepayment, credit risk, and stress testing models.
• Assist with the development of benchmarking models, including ML/AI models.
• Perform data ETL, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Conduct research on modeling topics.
• Other duties as assigned.
