Job summary

Howden Group is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the management accounting and financial control function from Lakeside, Florida. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and strong internal controls while developing a four-person Management Accounts team.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified ACA/ACCA with IFRS/FRS 102 knowledge, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in audits and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) is required.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, FRS 102).
• Experience leading finance teams and managing audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end processes with timely reporting.
• Own balance sheet integrity and reconciliations; manage controls.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings; oversee tax submissions.
• Manage and develop the Management Accounts team; drive process improvements.
