Howden Re is seeking a Financial Risks & Controls Manager to strengthen the controllership and risk framework in the US Finance team. You will drive internal controls design, evaluate the control environment, and partner with external consultants to document key accounting workflows and risk controls.

Ideal candidates bring a CPA (preferred), 5+ years in risk/compliance, and strong communication skills to collaborate across groups and advise on control improvements while supporting external

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in risk, controls, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and COSO.

Mansioni

• Prepare documentation for key accounting workflows with Group and external consultants.
• Evaluate risk and control environment to identify gaps and root causes.
• Oversee monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and implement controls.
• Monitor risk indicators and report issues to senior management.
• Support audits and remediation of control deficiencies.
